FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern women's soccer team got edged out by Florida Tech in a hard-fought defensive battle. The Sharks fell 1-0 in a non-conference duel against the Panthers.

• It was a battle in the first half with both teams not letting much happen offensively as the defenses were controlling the game led by Izzy Martinez. 

• The closest the Sharks came to scoring was in the 37th minute with a shot by Tabea Schutt that was swiped away by the Panthers.  

• Florida Tech took the lead in the 75th minute with a laser to the back of the net.

The Sharks continued to stay aggressive but weren't able to overcome the deficit, ultimately dropping tonight's matchup against Florida Tech 1-0.

Nova Southeastern will be back in action on September 25th in an SSC home opener against Lynn University at 7:00 pm.
